The project involved the design and implementation of temporary shoring for a deep excavation located in the immediate vicinity of a double-track railway line under active rail traffic conditions. For this specific task, a customized solution was developed using the KOPRAS shaft shoring system (point chamber system).
Deep Excavation Dimensions:
- Length: 3.00 m
- Width: 4.50 m
- Working depth: 4.40 m
The project required a comprehensive impact assessment of the deep excavation on the adjacent railway line and its associated infrastructure. The Client’s objective was to implement a shoring system that would ensure safe conditions for pipe jacking (trenchless crossing) operations under two active railway tracks, with a strict requirement of zero negative impact on the track bed substructure.
